Reliance, A hardy seedless grape variety!

The Seedless Reliance grape produces red-fruited seedless grape that tops for flavor and texture.

An excellent eating grape that is good for jellies and juices.

Has medium-sized clusters. Hardy and vigorous growing -- a good strong variety. You will enjoy a generous midseason harvest.

Dr. James Moore at the University of Arkansas developed and patented this variety.

More Info

Reliance Grape

Reliance (Plant patent 5174), also from the University of Arkansas (1982), produces large clusters of round, red, medium-sized berries.

The skins are tender and the flesh is melting in texture, with a sweet labrusca flavor. Coloring may be poor in some years, and fruit often crack in wet seasons.

Cold hardiness is among the highest of the seedless varieties.

Where are the Reliance vines
located in the vineyard?

Reliance Sign

  • Rows 6 & 7

Each row has about 50 vines.

Rows 6 & 7 were part of the original vineyard planted in 1983.

Where can I Purchase Reliance Wine & Vines?

Red Wine

Reliance wine is not sold in stores. You will have to make it yourselves.

I have used it in some fruity white wine blends.

It may be included (but not on the label) of many wines that have a fruity, sweeter finish.

These style of wines may be purchased on line from:

Due to regulations wine cannot be shipped into Michigan from other states. Stop by these wineries to purchase this style of wine.

(Note - If any other winery carries this style of wine and wants to be included here, please let us know)

We do not sell wine or vines. Please go to our resource page for a listing of nurseries.

Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today's world do not have.

Can I get grapes to make Ice Wine at Honeyflow Farm

No - Due to the timing of our harvest season, they are not available. Ice wines are made from grapes harvested very late, probably in November in our area. The clusters are harvested and pressed half frozen.
