Usage NotesTable, Jelly, Juice Grape
Seneca may be used as a table, jelly or juice grape. Most of the time they are picked and eaten fresh. Although they do have a seed they have a wonderful flavor that is worth it. We have used it for white jelly or combined it with other varities for a jelly mix. We have used it for grape juice mixes and also added it for various wine blends. It's aromatic flavor makes it very interesting. |

Where are the Seneca vines
Each row has about 50 vines. Rows 8 & 9 were part of the original vineyard planted in 1983. One gentlman has picked Seneca every year and I call him "Mr. Seneca". |

Where can I Purchase Seneca Wine & Vines?
I have never seen Seneca wine sold in stores. It may be included (but not on the label) of many wines that have a fruity, sweeter finish. These style of wines may be purchased on line from: Due to regulations wine cannot be shipped into Michigan from other states. Stop by these wineries to purchase this style of wine. (Note - If any other winery carries this style of wine and wants to be included here, please let us know) We do not sell wine or vines. Please go to our resource page for a listing of nurseries. |

What is your favorite grape? We get this asked of us all the time. Which grape makes the best wine, best jelly, best juice, etc. This is very difficult to answer & also varies from season to season. Many of our customers have very different tastes than we do. My personal favorites as of April, 2007: More.... |
