Our newsletter survey is completed. I want to thank everyone who has submitted information, it has been very helpful!

wineman297@aol.com has won a 6 inch pillar candle, please send me your address so that I can ship it.

Over 100 people have sent survey information to us an they checked the following interests:

62% were interested in candles
34% were interested in honey
45% were interested in wine

55% checked multiple interests

The overall response is below.

I separated the categories into three groups (not shown below). I suspected many of the people checking a grape interest were not interested in candles and candle customers not always interested in winemaking, although the crossover in interests did surprise me. (55%)

I did find that it is good for our newsletter to allow people to quickly scan to the type of material they prefer and then go to either the "This Month in the Vineyard" or "This Month in the Candle Shop & Honey Farm."

Here is a sampling of some of the comment & suggestions that were made:
(I was not "fishing for compliments" but really appreciate the kind remarks.)

I originally came to you becasue I was looking for grape recipes.  I got that and so much more.  I am now a loyal fan.  I enjoy your honey products, as well as your candles.  Your newsletter is a refreshing break from facts and figures, deadlines and quotas.  It reminds me there is so much more out there - God's Bounty.  Keep up the good work.

I think your candles are terrific!  That's why I go to the site, and that's why I'll return.

I enjoy the newsletter and updates on vineyard. I am also starting to read more on beekeeping.

I really appriciate the ability to get information from your site. Thank you so much for being available

Beekeeping is our major interest and we extend congratulations to your team and call you to continue in that way

I enjoy getting your e-mails.  I also had 2 great experiences with my family at your vineyard this year.  We are making it a family tradition.  See you soon Bill. Dr. Rob Skouson (your chiropractor)
(PS - Beekeeping can be heavy work - Dr. Rob really keeps my back straight!!)

I enjoy the letter and look forward to the candle sales. I was appreciative of the service when I ordered and the prompt replies by e-mail. Thanks, keep up the great work!

Those questions I left blank were simply because I only use your website to check crop conditions.  It has been a HUGE help to me in planning my picking and canning.  I hope you continue to make this available. Good luck!

I am not interested in buying anything please take name from the list. Thanks

I am the mother of one of your seasonal workers, Tony Waller.  It is wonderful that you give young people a chance to work, learn about agriculture, and using tools properly.   I am always thrilled to find your honey in a market where I shop, and I tell them thanks for buying your honey locally.I tell them my son works pruning and tying vines at Easter Time and that your Farm is a rare value to our communities. Beverly Waller

Enjoy getting your e-mail. I am a sporadic reader but look for it coming regularly nevertheless. Your candles are just wonderful!!

your candles are WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!

I am interested in removing all processed refined sugars from my food chain. I am using raw honey, sucanat, & natural fructose in its place. I would like receipes for wine, jellies, and anything else that use natural sugars. thank you, Pete

Tip section for homewinemakers eventhough we're sitting on our barrels now for age I am always looking for ways to improve my wine crafitng abilities.  Perhapse a workshop at the farm on planting, cultivating, and harvesting the various varieties that are good to grow in Michigan...

I appreciate the hard work it takes to do what you do with the newsletter. Anyone could do it for a month or two but you keep a vigorous schedule and I applaude you for it.

Your candles are well priced, well packaged, and burn perfectly!  The website is easily navigable and I was able to get right to what I was looking for!  You can rest assured the next time I need beeswax candles they're comming from you guys!!

I placed an order at Christmas time for beeswax ornaments........they were beautiful and my daughter enjoyed giving them to her class!!  Delivery was prompt and only one was broken.  Thank you

I just like that fact that I can buy my honey locally, that it is not processed, etc.  I use it all year for cooking and in coffee, etc. and really enjoy it.

I enjoy your website. I like the fact that your articles are brief.

I have just planted 10 vines (last spring). I can't imagin the amount of work there is at your place. Thanks for the effort. Mike Amormino

We live not far from the farm and enjoy coming every year for grapes, honey and candles. We like to bring guests with us to show them what Dryden has to offer! They are all quite surprised!

I love your site...one of the few We have found that actually updates....We are just starting to grow grapes on our 16 acre farm in East Tennessee...and this site is helping to clear my head of any misgivings I had....

Thank you again for all who submitted the survey!
