Candle Dipping
at
Honeyflow Farm

Wicks for 6 pairs of candles are on a frame and dipped into hot wax.

 

6 pairs of candles half finished.

The frame is split in half & only 3 pairs are now dipped.

 

The candles are hanging in a rack to cool between dips.

Honeyflow Farm, located in Dryden, Michigan, is:

  • a Vineyard that grows grapes for home winemakers,
  • a Honey Farm producing honey from Michigan flowers,
  • and a Beeswax Candle Shop that produces candles from Michigan beeswax

    Thanks for a great season!

    I would like to thank everyone that came to the vineyard this season to pick grapes. People from all backgrounds visited us this year. Pictures and the rest of the story ........


    We are developing a new grape variety search page. We would like to make you VERY FAMILIAR with every variety we grow, where they are located in the vineyard, and easier for you to find and use. We would like your input about this project. Check out our new page .......


    Fall activities at the vineyard are mainly clean up and winterizing things. All the bird scare alarms, balloons are packed up and put away. More .......


    We made more wine this season that we usually do. Our winemaking depends on how big our crop was and what we have left.

    The above picture shows about 5 gallons of St. Pepin, 10 gallons of Seyval Blanc and about 10+ gallons of Cayuga. About a week later we made another 10 gallons of Niagara. More winemaking notes .....

  • Harvest at the Honey Farm

    The honey crop was real small this year - most all of it is harvested now. Above is a picture of Eric Fisher, a local youth, who does a lot of work around our place. This picture shops him extracting honey in our barn.

    He also helps us in the beeyards, the vineyard and in dipping candles.
