The Country Smoke House
Our daughter, Liz, was married to our new son-in-law Mark Russell this past August.
This picture shows our whole family.
We rented a tent from North Branch Rental, few miles north of us. About 300 people were invited.
Everyone had a lot of fun. An outdoor event such as this really makes a wedding reception more relaxed.
Of course some of our wine was served. We had a "Country Red", a red blend, and a "Country Concord", a sweet concord type wine.
This picture shows the place setting that Liz made for every table. Click here for a recent article about Liz making these centerpieces..... Baby honeybears were decorated and Liz's sister Andrea perry (Candle Shop Creations in Minnessota) made square votives.
The Country Smoke House in
Almont, Michigan catered our event.
They barbecued a hog and we had "pulled pork" along with many other side dishes.
Every dish they made was very special. They macaroni salad had sour cream in it, giving it a very rich taste. The baked beans had smoked sausage in it just like the sour kraut.
I highly recomend them for any event or just drop in to their store on Van Dyke. You can also order on line at www.countrysmokehouseinc.com.
