The Scent of Beeswax

Everyone loves the scent of beeswax. Magical and Mysterious. It cleans and freshens the air and it is made from the nectar of flowers.

In addition to the Warm Natural Scent we have many different scented beeswax candles at Honeyflow Farm.

We have candles scented with Essential Oils and also Fragrance Oils.

Pure Essential Oils are more natural and expensive but the scent is much stronger.

Beeswax Fragrance Candles - Burn time is about 30 hrs. Comes complete with a gold metal lid for storage. Most of them are scented with fragrance oils. We use these a lot in our house - I like cabbage, fish and other smelly foods and these fragrance candles can help mask the scent!

Natural Scent - Unscented - The natural scent of beeswax.
Bayberry - Typical Bayberry fragrance.
Cinnamon - Strong cinnamon scent - great for kitchens!
Floral Blend - A blend of honeysuckle, lilac and lavender.
Holiday/Evergreen - This traditional Christmas scent of Balsam and Cinnamon can be enjoyed any time of the year. You’ll love the earthy aroma as it lingers, leaving your home smelling fresh and inviting.

Interest in essential oils in beeswax candles has revived in recent decades, with the popularity of aromatherapy, a branch of alternative medicine which claims that the specific aromas carried by essential oils have curative effects. Essential oils are a natural fit with beeswax as they are all made from flowers and plants, with nothing artificial. More on essential oils....

Peppermint Votives - Peppermint oil, from premium USA peppermint - The absolute best, sweetest, most candy-like peppermint you will ever smell!
Christmas Pine Votives - The oil is from the Siberian Fir that grows in North Eastern Europe, Finland and North America. The pleasant aroma is pine forest fresh and balsamic.
Floral Blend Votives -- A blend of Lavender, Litsea Cubeba and Patchouli. (Pat loves the Floral scent! She likes to put them in bathrooms.)

Floral Blend Votives:

Lavender Oil is fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous, slightly fruity.

Patchouli was one of the favorite perfumes used in India and shawls and blanket were impregnated with this rich oil. It is an aphrodisiac and become very popular again in 1960s for this reason. The oil is extracted from dried, fermented leaves of the small shrub and emits an intense, woody, sweet-spicy, balsamic odor.

Litsea Cubeba oil, China, is also known as May Chang. A member of the Laurel family, the small tree is common throughout Asia. Although its fragrant properties were widely known for centuries, it wasn`t steam distilled until about 60 years ago.
