Our 1 1/2 inch tall, 12 - 15 hour beeswax votive candles are a very popular item. Most retail stores do not carry beeswax votives. We make them in the natural unscented beeswax and Bayberry & Cinnamon scented.
Triple wick pillars are some of the largest we have. Our beeswax pillars are hand made with old fashioned style metal molds. It takes at least 24 hours of pouring, cooling & manipulation to create just one of these candles. Larger square braided wicks are used in our cylinder pillars allowing the proper amount of wax to be fed to the flame. With this process we end up with a larger and longer burning candle.
Our 1 1/2 inch tall, 12 - 15 hour Beeswax Bayberry or Cinnamon scented votive candles. Very popular at Christmas.
Our Beeswax Early American Style Smokeless Tapers are hand made at our farm in Michigan. They are sold in pairs and are made by dipping them 20 - 30 times into hot beeswax. We have been beekeepers for more than 30 years, harvesting honey and beeswax and selling to the local markets.
- Hand-dipped beeswax tapers are available in 6.5 inch, 9.5 inch & 12 inch lengths. The 6.5 inch tapers are slightly less than 3/4 inch and the 9.5 & 12 inch tapers are closer to 7/8 inch in diameter. The sizes vary slightly since they are hand made. Even the tapers in the same batch varies (we do loads of 30 pair at a time).
- These tapers burn cleaner, drip and smoke less than any other wax, cleaning and purifying the air as they burn.
- Beeswax is made from the Nectar of Flowers, burns with a sweet scent and purifies the air. Not polluted with dies or colors.
- Our Beeswax comes from local Michigan beekeepers - a lot of beeswax sold on line comes from China. We refuse a lot of promotions trying to sell us cheap, polluted non-American wax.
- Your candles may have "Bloom" on them. This is the powdery looking finish that ONLY BEESWAX CANDLES CAN DEVELOP and will give them an antique look . It will usually appear after a few months in storage and can be wiped off if desired.

Did you know?
Ancient Egyptians recognized the value of beeswax as a preservative, and early Romans fashioned coins from beeswax to pay their taxes. Invention of the candle dates back to about 400 B.C., but the idea to use beeswax to form candles didn't emerge until the Middle Ages.
What's the white cloudy film on my beeswax candle?
This white film, called bloom, is normal and occurs to all pure beeswax. This is caused because some of the components of the beeswax migrate to the surface. Bloom can be easily removed by wiping the candle with a soft cloth, applying gentle heat with a hair dryer, or placing the candle in warm sunlight. Even though the bloom is easily removable, many people actually desire this effect as it tends to give the beeswax candle a unique and rustic look and feel.

What causes a candle to smoke, and what can I do to correct it?
Is candle soot harmful?
A well-made candle will create virtually no smoke when burning properly. However, if the wick becomes too long, or an air current disturbs the flame's teardrop shape, small amounts of unburned carbon particles (soot) will escape from the flame as a visible wisp of smoke. Any candle will soot if the flame is disturbed.
To avoid this, always trim the wick to ¼ inch before every use and be sure to place candles away from drafts, vents or air currents. If a candle continually flickers or smokes, it is not burning properly and should be extinguished. Allow the candle to cool, trim the wick, make sure the area is draft free, then re-light.
